Wicked Dreams: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Book 1), by S. Massery - Book Review

Wicked Dreams - Fallen Royals Book 1 - S. Massery - Book Review

Synopsis

As a kid, she crushed my dreams to dust. She tore both of our families apart with one confession, ending any chance of happiness for either of us and setting off a ripple effect of chaos.

Now she's back as the new girl in school, and she doesn't suspect the war that's coming. She doesn't realize the anger I've been harboring.I've been waiting for the perfect time to ruin her life, and it's finally here.

Because even traitors sleep--and I'm going to make sure she only dreams of me. Then I'm going to destroy her. This is a dark high school bully romance with mature content and themes. It contains dubious situations that some readers may find offensive. If you're looking for a white knight hero, this book is not for you.

Hello friends and lovers!

I found this gem through audible on YouTube, told me bestie about it and as we listened to it during work, we couldn’t stop messaging about it. This Dark High School Bully Romance is addicting due to the mystery element that S. Massery tied to it.

S. Massery is a brand new author to me and I have to say, Wicked Dreams has me going crazy. I want to read the entire collection like, yesterday. I have a disgusting need to know what the fuck is going to happen.

Margot, this poor fucking soul and the life she’s been dealt. Jesus, I feel so bad for her, even worse when Caleb her best friend growing up, is now a dark monster who desires to own her, maybe he loves her? I’m still trying to understand it. This is my first time reading a bully romance and I’m digging this trope…. ALOT. Like I said, I’m going to start collecting my favorite book series.

Where’s Ikea? I need a fucking bookshelf so I can store all these beautifully amazing, fucked up books I like.

***Sorry, language. As you may have seen in this review or my previous ones, I don’t have a filter, which is by dark romance novels, erotica, filthy, dirty books are my style. But I love the sweet rom coms too! I’m a gemini, remember?**

If you’re a fan of Pretty Little Liars, which lets face it — who isn’t? If you’re a fan of PLL and you love dark romance novels, THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU!! Trust….

Below are my highlights and links to purchase this book if you wish to pursue it!

What I Enjoyed:

  • This is my first bully romance trope that I’ve read and S. Massery left a wonderful impression of the genre. I haven’t read any of her books, this is the first, but mind you…. I’m a huge fucking fan now.

  • Her imagery is very vivid, her scenes are sexy, graphic, and pure amazingness.

  • Character development - she is on point with all her characters. Although Margot is a bit silly with her love for Caleb — maybe love — I did genuinely enjoy reading her journey and want to know more about her and Caleb, the monster.

What I Didn’t Like:

  • Literally…. nothing goes here. (I should probably delete this, lol)

Rating: 💋💋💋💋💋/ 5

Steamy Rating: 💋💋💋💋💋/ 5

  • This one has five for me. I’ve read more graphic scenes in other books, but the sexual tension, chemistry, and dark romance, angst, it really is a pure fucking sexy book. 5 all across the board for me.
